On June 18th, the Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, made a pledge to “end Biden’s war on Crypto assets” during a rally in Racine, Wisconsin.

Trump stated that his goal is to “ensure the future of Crypto assets and BTC will be realized in the United States.” He also warned that if the U.S. doesn’t seize the opportunity, other countries will.

Additionally, Trump’s campaign team questioned Biden’s economic policies that surpass Crypto assets. Campaign spokesperson Anna Kelly described Biden’s leadership as leading to “higher prices, lower wages, and stagnant manufacturing” in a statement to Reuters.

Reuters pointed out that the town where the rally was held is the location of a controversial factory owned by Foxconn. During his first term, Trump credited the construction of the factory to his support for manufacturing policies, but the factory ultimately failed to provide the expected number of jobs.

Trump claimed that his Crypto asset strategy will “create opportunities for young people.”

Trump’s latest commitment to supporting Crypto assets comes after similar statements. On May 8th, Trump called on the Crypto asset community for support, stating, “If you support Crypto assets, you better vote for Trump.” Later, on June 7th, he promised to end “Biden’s persecution of Crypto assets.” Trump mentioned Gary Gensler, the chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission appointed by the Biden administration, in his statement.

On June 12th, Trump expressed his intention to have the U.S. mine all remaining BTC, claiming that such a policy will help the U.S. establish energy dominance.

With Trump’s more explicit support for the Crypto asset industry, Biden’s campaign team may reconsider their supposedly strict stance on the industry.

Reports indicate that Biden’s campaign team is seeking input from members of the Crypto asset industry through outreach efforts. Following Trump’s decision to accept Crypto assets through Coinbase Commerce earlier, Biden’s campaign team may soon follow suit.

However, Biden’s campaign team has not taken or confirmed these actions. So far, only anonymous sources have reported the alleged “plans.”
