BroadChain has learned that on August 4, according to Cointelegraph, despite ongoing market volatility, the number of Bitcoins withdrawn from exchanges by whales has reached the highest level in nine years.
In July alone, whale holders increased their holdings by 84,000 Bitcoins, marking the fastest pace of Bitcoin withdrawals from exchanges since 2015, similar to the period when Bitcoin prices bottomed out around $220.
