Idealists are not daydreamers.
Everyone knows what the latter are like, but the former, after identifying a goal, strive for it, even knowing that the goal is distant and difficult. They always want to give it a try, so what if they fail?
Using an ecosystem as an analogy, some people hope it will flourish and bring wealth effects, and that’s it; others believe, even firmly believe, that it can flourish and work hard to promote its prosperity. We also call these people Builders.
A long-term Builder always has a bit of an idealistic color. In the impetuous crypto world, what makes these people persist without long-term wealth returns? It is ideals.
The 15 years of Bitcoin are the arduous journey of idealists.
Bitcoin’s rise has never been smooth; it even exists in a very long cycle, with common periods of rising for a few months and then falling for years. But people often only envy those who have held Bitcoin from the beginning to the end, rarely asking themselves, if they went back 15 years, what would it take to sustain their perseverance?
Without those OGs who worked hard to witness a new era, there would be no Bitcoin today. It is the countless human coincidences that have finally made Bitcoin today an inevitability.
15 years later, we are fortunate to encounter Atomicals again.
If you seriously look at this ecosystem, you will find that those community members who persist in building every day are the true portrayal of idealism.
Anyone who truly understands Atomicals will understand that it is an indispensable part of the Bitcoin ecosystem. Since there is no talk of failure, let’s strive to turn success into “great success.”
In the end, the reward that Atomicals brings us will not only be profit but also “meaning.” Participating in an early-stage ecosystem, regardless of the return, is a huge success in itself, and that is where the meaning lies.
The Bitcoin ecosystem is in its early stages, and every learner, entrepreneur, and investor should familiarize themselves with this very early-stage ecosystem and ideally participate in it personally.
Today’s Bitcoin ecosystem has many interesting aspects, and I believe many sectors will eventually flourish. The Atomicals protocol is the track I most recommend, from colored coins to mining, from smart contracts to DeFi, each direction is full of imagination and stories.
In the past, we speculated on coins, just expecting others to do things and pump the price. We wondered if others could make this coin better so we could benefit a bit. Everyone knows the later results; the so-called “others” were nothing more than those VCs, institutions, or so-called project parties. In these coins, what is the meaning of an individual’s existence?
When a truly decentralized ecosystem emerges, everyone has a stake, everyone is a project party, and everyone can choose to contribute or not. How far can such an ecosystem go?
If the entire Bitcoin ecosystem is to succeed, it will never rely on “mindless speculation” to go global. It depends on an ecosystem that ultimately becomes a truly flourishing and diverse “ecology” through collective efforts, relying on all possibilities of development beyond speculation.
Now, when I talk about idealism again, it is often for an entire ecosystem, not just a single coin, not hoping everyone will mindlessly buy in. How can one talk about ideals in speculating coins? But “expecting Atomicals to become mainstream” is an ideal, and the result of ideals will also bring wealth effects. The so-called “preaching” is more about hoping every passerby can feel the novelty, charm, and atmosphere of the Atomicals protocol. Even if everyone comes to issue a new coin with ARC-20, why not? Welcome.
Idealism and speculation always go hand in hand. The latter considers whether they can make money these days, which I dare not say; the former considers whether they can eventually succeed, and success can also bring wealth, which I believe.
From the idealistic perspective, Atomicals will eventually be popularized, accepted, and recognized by the public. Previously, I thought the biggest reason was its own excellence; now, I believe the bigger reason is the goodness of the people here. With people, there can be stories; with stories, more people can know about them.
When you choose to understand Atomicals, you have already stepped into a community full of ideals. Ideals have never had a ceiling, and all the most impossible situations are always realized in “ideals.”
There is always a group of people here who persistently build, regardless of success or failure. Before reaching the end, do not be biased
